School uniform gives an identity to the children.
Gives the feeling of being one.
It helps the students not fall in the trap of money/show off.
Where all the students gain same knowledge under one shelter without any discrimination.
School uniform creates a sense of unity and helps in making friends easily.
Where in many countries school uniforms are considered conservative.
Many say it closes the doors of creativity.
But I say lack of school uniforms creates the mental disturbances among children.
Increases the burden on parents pocket.
Lack of school uniform creates bias thoughts among children and hence hammers their growth.
I belive school uniform makes a child confident. A child is able to express more rather than getting embarrassed with what he/she have worn.
Remember children go to school for studies and for better upbringing and not for fashion.

Uniform is required, but gender wise 🤔 i think it should be unisex. So that there won’t be any bullies regards to their gender.

Gender wise I think it might become little restricted. the school is the base of looking towards world and with gender dress similarity might block the development of children. But definitely your prescription is agreed from your point of view. Thank you 😊 for the inputs shared.

Yes the school is the base of looking towards the world, and discrimination towards everything starts from there only. Thanks for your thoughts. I appreciate your time to reply.

Uniforms should be there, but with a little bit of customization allowed. Students should have the choice to change it up a little from time to time.

I think School uniform is good but every uniform should be slightly unique to that child or its not really giving them any freedom or expression in what they wear. It would let them be more creative

True words of reality and so well said about school uniforms. They are a must for children and why go to school wearing fashionable clothes. Uniforms shows equality and a sense of belonging in children. Thanks for your valuable post.

Well, uniform is neutral for me. With or without is fine.
Some schools doesn’t have one and tbh, it’s gon be hard for me because I don’t think I have enough clothes for that 🤣

I grew up wearing uniforms to school, pre-school, primary, secondary, alevel. And so now that I can look back on all those years, I am actually grateful that we had to. It creates a sense of identity and discipline. And it was just so easy to not have to worry about what you are wearing or having to compare yourself to other people.

Me too, I was quite proud of my uniform.
Not so much, the two long plaits that I had.
I remember the boys used to want to tug on them!

I wore uniforms in school and liked it. It does away with competition to wear more fashionable or trendy or expensive clothes. It simplifies life during the school years. Good post!

Interesting! I didn’t have uniforms at my school. I suppose if one was keeping up with the popular kid’s latest fashions it could get expensive but I generally didn’t (maybe why I wasn’t popular!) lol. It’s hard to say what triggers success in school, thanks for writing.

I didn’t like my school uniform, BUT I was grateful, Mum and Dad couldn’t have afforded lots of fashionable clothes to compete. Also how long would it take to get ready for school if you have to decide what to wear?

I agree with uniform at school. You look all the same.
When I was at comprehensive school, I was so glad it was uniform, because then and probably still is now, it was all about wearing the brand names and latest clothes. I was never in branded clothing and my parents could not afford the latest fashion. My clothes were badic but wearable. Bht enough for bullies to bully me further, had it not been a uniform school.

But they are many families who can’t afford with the changing fashion and it becomes difficult for children to grow.
As at this age children are more attracted towards outward beauty and may tease others who might be little basic in dressing sense.
For me uniform creates being sense of one without discrimination.
Thank for the initiative and thoughts shared by you.
