My Favourite Reading!!

Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.

Books are your best companion. I was in 5th standard when I had started reading. Since then it’s like an essential meal for me. Reading always helps me to change my mood and best company when I am alone.

Among many readings here are few novels which are my favourite. For those who love ❤️ reading would surely love reading these novels:

1. Enid Blyton books

She is the best author for the children who want to develop the habit of reading. My favourite childhood writer. Enid Blyton books are very popular among children. She wrote on wide range of topics such as education, fantasy, biblical, natural history. My favourite are Famous Five, Noddy, Secret Seven.

2.  Gone with the wind

A alluring classic novel portraited beautifully about lost of love and war. Scarlett O’ Hara and Rhett Butler perfect portagonist.

Only novel written by Margaret Mitchell. An American civil war era, Gone with the Wind , for she won the National book award. Their’s something in this novel which made me read this book twice. Emotions of lost of war and love is so well expressed which made me fall in love with this novel.

Author : Margaret Mitchell

3.  Many lives many Masters

Calling this book as novel would be wrong. This book is not a fiction but based on true incidents. A well expressed incidents that took place between a doctor and the patient. A traditional psychotherapist, Dr Brain Weiss was astonished and unconvinced when one of his patients Catherine began recalling past life traumas that seemed to hold her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks.

The doubts got all erased when Catherine began to channel the messages from “the space between the lives”, which contained the astonishing revelations about Dr Brain Weiss’s family and his dead son. Using past life therapy he was able to cure his patients and this experience with his patient was an embark on a new and a meaningful career.

One should surely read all the series of the author if you have interest and curiosity in knowing what is life after death and belief reincarnation.

Author : Dr Brain Weiss

4.  No greater love

A fictional novel by Daniel Steel based on true incident of sinking of the Titanic. After returning back from her aunt from England she returns back to US with her family and fiancée in RMS Titanic. Where the ship sinks her family and fiancée dies and is left behind alone with her siblings.

A beautiful journey lead by Edward after the incident. With variations in her life and how she faces all odds.

5.  Alchemist

One of my favourite novel written by Paulo Coelho. A journey of a shepherd boy Santiago. Believing in recurring dream to be prophetic, he decides to travel to Romani fortune teller in a nearby turn to discover its meaning. The woman interprets the dream and tells the boy about treasure in the pyramids of Egypt.

Main theme of novel is ,” When the person desires something, all the universe conspires to help the person to realise his dream.”

Failure is the part of learning. We should never give up in the struggle in of life!!.

6. Excavation :

Thriller novels being my favourite and among many Excavation is one of the well remembered reading.

High in the Andes, Dr. Henry Conklin discovers a 500 year old mummy that shouldn’t be there. While deep in the jungle of South America doctor’s nephew Sam stumbles a remarkable site hidden from human eyes from thousand of years. Journey leading to numerous traps, beyond imagination the reward for facing the courage of the terrible unknown. A thing created by man , yet not humanly possible. Something wondrous, something terrifying..

Author: James Rollins.

7.  Personal

Someone has taken a long-range shot at the French president but intentionally failed to kill him. The suspected sniper has serious skills and is a hard man to find. Reacher tracked him down once and put him in jail. Now he’s asked to hunt him again, and put him away permanently.

Lee Child is one of the great authors for thriller. He plays with words well. Once you start reading can’t stop to turn the next page.

8. If tomorrow comes

Beautiful fiction novel by Sidney  Sheldon. I really loved the way the author had portrayed the story of an ordinary woman who is framed by Mafia, her subsequent quest for revenge towards them and her later life as a con artist.

The novel was so captivating that one will keep turning pages to know what’s next!!

Do drop your comments and books you love to read.. I always look for different kind of readings and suggestions!! Your views on reading the book you love the most and why ?

List continues for the next reading…
