There was once a king who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of Harmony. Many artists tired. But the king liked only two paintings and now he had to choose between them. One picture was of calm lake. The lake was peaceful towering mountains all around. Overhead was blue sky with fluffy clouds. For all who saw the painting thought was perfect one.
The other painting too was of mountains. But this was barren and bare. Above it was angry sky. It was raining and had dark clouds. Down the side of mountain was tumbling waterfall. Which didn’t looked peaceful at all. But then The King looked at the water fall carefully. He noticed in the crack of the mountain was small green bush growing. In that bush the mother bird had built her nest. In that the midst of the angry water, sat the mother on her nest with peace and Harmony. The King gave award to the second painting.
You know why? Because Harmony and peace doesn’t mean to be in a place where there is calm and no noise, trouble and hard word. It means to be in the midst of all things and trouble, you are still calm from heart.
For me that’s true meaning of Harmony.
